700 Hours Later
I spent over 700 hours studying the pathway out of porn and sexual addiction.
What I discovered changed everything.
Here are the 7 truths that freed me from a counterfeit version of love—and can change your life too.
I am not an Investigator
We're living in a time when exposing pastors has become its own corner of the internet. Every week there seems to be another investigation, another headline, another podcast, another opinion. Think what you want about all of that.
There is certainly a place for credible investigative journalism and for those who faithfully uncover abuse, expose corruption, and advocate for victims.
My calling is simply different.
I'm not an investigator. I'm a shepherd.
Oars in the water, Brother.
The first thing I tell the men who come through our Freedom Intensive at House of Resurrection usually surprises them.
I tell them:
"There is probably nothing you're going to learn in the next 48 hours that will change your life."
You can almost see the confusion on their faces.
After all, they flew across the country. They paid the money. They carved out the time. Surely the breakthrough is hidden somewhere inside my teaching notes.
But it isn't.
An Open Letter to Evangelical Pastors
Several years ago, my friend Whit George stood in the pulpit at Church on the Move and declared war on pornography.
Then he did something even more courageous.
He shared how Jesus had set him free from pornography as a younger man.

At its core, sin is taking what was never actually given to you.
