Why I help Pastors in Crisis

In a matter of days, I lost my church, my marriage, my income… and I went broke paying for rehab and recovery.

And instead of being shepherded, my family and I were isolated and exiled.

I promised God I would spend the rest of my life making sure no pastor and no pastor’s family ever walks through that kind of pain and loneliness again.

That’s the gap House of Resurrection fills.

When a pastor enters crisis, we step in immediately:

  1. We stabilize the crisis — disclosure, trauma, safety, communication, next steps.

  2. We address the roots — shame, trauma, identity wounds, unmet needs, nervous system dysregulation.

  3. We guide the marriage — rebuilding trust, truth, and emotional safety.

  4. We walk with them for a full year — real restoration, not exile.

And we do all of it at no cost to them.
Because when a pastor falls, the last thing he needs is a bill he can’t pay.

This is why House of Resurrection exists.
And it’s why I will keep doing this work as long as God gives me breath.

Do partners pay for Blaine’s salary?

1

No. Partners do not pay Blaine’s salary. Our Trustees have set his annual compensation at $36,000, including benefits, and it is funded entirely through speaking honorariums — not donations.

Do partners pay for loans?

2

No. We carry zero debt, and every furnishing is already paid for. Partner giving is used exclusively for ministry care and expanding our reach to men, ministers, and marriages in crisis.

Do partners help others who can’t afford care?

3

Yes. When men or marriages can’t cover the cost of an Intensive, your support steps in. Partners make sure financial need never stands between a family and the healing they desperately need.

Who is House of Resurrection accountable to?

4

We operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit governed by a seasoned Board of Trustees. Every major decision is made with their counsel, oversight, and formal approval. None of our board members are family — they are respected pastors and business leaders who ensure our work is conducted with integrity, transparency, and wisdom.

We operate with intentional frugality. Whenever possible, we do the work ourselves—everything from repairs to property projects. It’s not uncommon to find Blaine running an excavator, fixing equipment, or handling maintenance personally. We spend money only on what is absolutely necessary, ensuring every donor dollar goes as far as possible in serving men, pastors, and marriages in crisis.
