Don’t come as you are.
Come for who you want to become.
i don’t want to be your pastor
I’ve been in and around the church for a long time. Over 40 years. And I love the church — I wouldn’t be here without her. But if I’m honest, I’ve always carried this quiet ache for something... different.
Something smaller. Simpler. Something that feels more like what I imagine the first-century church experienced.
You know — gathering around a table rather than a platform. Real people who have each other’s backs and are devoted to one thing: exploring the way of Jesus.
So what I’m about to describe is a little church experiment we’re embarking on.
If there’s a part of you that longs to explore — or you’re ready to break free from the familiar to pursue something deeper; Let’s put our toes in the water and see what happens.
This is not an invite to join a church. This is more like a chance to be the church.
I don’t want to be your pastor. I will simply be a guide on this fresh, unmarked path.
We will gather once a month — not to replace Sunday mornings or offer another version of it.
We’ll gather to become something I kind of think the world may be longing for — a people wholly devoted to the way of Jesus.
There will be no building projects. No attendance goals. Heck, we don’t even have a name.
Just a table, bread and wine, prayer, teaching, ministry, friendship —all centered on serving Jesus and others.
This isn’t about building something new... it’s about becoming someone new.
So… don’t come as you are.
Come for who you want to become.
Here’s what to expect each night:
We’ll share stories.
We’ll break bread and take the cup.
We’ll sit in prayer and silence — and listen.
We’ll worship. We will open the Scriptures and let them read us.
We’ll minister to each other — and we won’t rush out. We’ll stay until the Spirit is done.
There will be no offering buckets, no staff to fund, no buildings to maintain. When we give, we’ll give to the poor, the broken, the addicted — the very people Jesus called ‘the least of these.’
We’re not concerned about growing this thing. At all.
But we do care deeply about you growing — to become more like the one whose call was uncommon, “Follow me.”
So if you’re longing for something like this… something that just might disturb the status quo of your soul…
There is a seat at the table from you.

Sunday Nights | 6 PM | Once a Month | Our Home
P.S. — We love every church in our city proclaiming the Gospel. I have at least a dozen good friends in the city who pastor churches I love and am a part of in some way. This isn’t about replacing what you have — it’s about creating a space for what you may be missing.
LET US KNOW YOU’RE COMING
Planning to join us? Let us know so we can make room at the table. Our first gathering will be on Sunday, May 4th at 6:00 pm.
This isn’t for everyone.
It’s for the restless, the thirsty,
the ones tired of the show.
It’s for those ready to lay down ego, titles, and religion—
and step into the river,
where the way of Jesus runs slow, costly, beautiful.
The water is deep. The current strong.
But if you’re willing to wade in—
there’s a seat waiting.
Come drink. Come drown. Come live.
THE QUESTIONS WE’D BE ASKING TOO.
Is this a new church?
No. And yes. We’re not planting a church in the traditional sense. We’re gathering to be the Church.
Can I still go to my regular church?’
Absolutely. We’re not competing with Sunday morning — we’re complementing it with something deeper, slower, smaller.
Will there be teaching?
Yes, but not a sermon. More like guided storytelling sparked by Scripture, honest reflections, and space for questions to be answered and the Spirit to speak.
Why gather around a table?
Because that’s where Jesus did His most transformational work. He didn’t build a stage — He set a table. He formed disciples over conversations, not sermons. It was at the table that hearts were opened, betrayals were confronted, and hope was restored.
Do you have a statement of faith?
We hold a historical and Christological view of God and Scripture. Jesus is our clearest picture of who God is.
He said, “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.” (John 14:9)
Hebrews tells us He is “the exact representation of God’s being.” (Hebrews 1:3)
Colossians declares Jesus “the image of the invisible God.” (Colossians 1:15)
We read Scripture through the lens of Jesus—not the other way around.
Everything God wanted us to know about Himself, He revealed fully and finally in His Son.
We believe Jesus is:
The Word made flesh
Crucified, risen, and returning
The One who shows us the Father, redeems our story, and calls us into His way
Our pursuit is simple:
To know Him, to become like Him, and to follow Him wherever He leads. This is the faith we gather around. This is the life we’re learning to live.
What if I come and don’t like it?
That’s okay. Seriously. This isn’t for everyone, and there’s no pressure to come back. We’re not building a crowd — we’re creating space for those who are hungry for this kind of experience. If it resonates, great. If not, no hard feelings. Either way, you’re welcome at the table.
Can we bring our kids to the monthly gatherings?
Right now, we’re not set up to accommodate children at our monthly gatherings. That said, we’re actively dreaming and praying about what that could look like in the future. Kids matter deeply to us—and even more so to the heart of Jesus and His Kingdom. Stay tuned!
What do I bring?
Your Bible — and maybe a hunger for something more.
